Light from the Heart Nebula
Credit & Copyright: Matt Russell
I sometimes worry I am too much of a geek! So the story behind it is boring but basically I was looking at lonely hearts after posting a comment on the meet me at mikes blog. I found a news story here which include the fantastic lonely heart
‘Ploughing the loneliest furrow. Nineteen personal ads and counting. Only one reply. It was my mother telling me not to forget the bread on my way home from B&Q. Man, 51.’
I would love to know what replies he got! Anywho back to the story in hand. To put a picture to this very trivial post i looked up heart and found the above photo at the astronomy picture of the day from NASA. I then spent far too long looking at space thingies that make my brain hurt a little!

The flickr game introduced to me by Pip and Gemma. I chose the images I liked rather than the descriptive onesthis means i need to do a bit of describing. 2. was roast dinner, 3. turnpike, 4. green?? 6. pimms, 7. japan, 11 was suggested by the other half as I find it hard enough to decide on what my favorite food is never mind describing myself in a word. I would be intrested to do it again in six months and see how my choices have changed. Oh the rules see Pips post but basically find pictures on flickr that match these questions
1. What is your first name?
2. What is your favorite food?
3. What high school did you go to?
4. What is your favorite color?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. Favorite drink?
7. Dream vacation?
8. Favorite dessert?
9. What you want to be when you grow up?
10. What do you love most in life?
11. One Word to describe you.
12. Your flickr name.

A better blogger becca

It warms my heart to think that somewhere out there exists a Becca who has made a lovely blog that is well loved and regularly updated. It also blows my mind.
This is not as random as it appears. I’ve been watching the fantastic Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives a documentary where the lead singer of the eels discovered more about his father. This would be uninteresting if it were not for the fact that his Dad was Hugh Everett III who invented the theory of multiple universes. It was one of those things that you thing “oh yeah I get it” but then you think some more and you really don’t. Best not to think!

my lovely pie
Tuesday, April 8, 08 · No Comments
This is the lovely pie I made on Sunday instead of a roast. Its sounds odd but was very tasty. Its steak and pickled onion. I originally saw it on a cookery program called “the best” where 2 chefs ansd one cook compete for the best of each category. The recipe eluded me for ages but I finally found it without forking (hohoho) out for the book from the landcroft house blog Very tasty only letdown - no cabbage, it all looked a bit ropey in the supermarket, I could have got up early with my basket and gone to the market but I’m not that energetic! next time I might go as far as making bubble and squeak ( I live life in the fast lane!).

Working 9 to 5
Tuesday, March 25, 08 · No Comments
Oddly this song isn’t in my head but the sheena easton classic “morning train” is. Except my baby doesn’t, he gets the bus and won’t for much longer now he can drive! No longer will maggie Thatcher look down her nose at him (well not for riding the bus anyway). I have many years of sitting in the passenger seat owed to me!
So finally working woo hoo! So I have to get a bus and a train and all in all it takes about 45 minutes. This will mostly be taken up reading, snoozing and chuckling to myself as I listen to podcasts. Where I have to change I have seen a secondhand book shop and a charity shop that look good so I’ll have to run past that bit for a while!
I’m knackered so this is just a brief one to say it all went ok and I’m ok! I will post tomorrow and try to get in a better routine, but I won’t bore you with my tired witterings!

By removing garfield you turn a very annoying comic into a much better one about a bloke who has lost his mind (shouldn’t be funny but is).
“Its the sleeve what does it” Fantastic video of 30s fashion designers predicting what we would all be wearing in the year 2000. I’m sure I’ve seen those cantilevered shoes about!
sweet valley everything. If like me you spent a large part of your youth reading the sweet valley books you’ll love this blog.
